We offer a number of float trips in the ALLEGHENY NATIONAL FOREST.  All trips start in Tionesta.  You will sign in and get your paddling gear, then we transport you to your ramp upstream.  From there you are on your own to explore, fish, float, and have fun.  You arrive back at our ramp in Tionesta, at your car.  All times given are the paddle-time.

WEST HICKORY to Tionesta:
This is a 7 mile trip on the Allegheny River.  This is our shortest day trip, usually a 2 hour paddle, perfect for the fisherman, beginners, families with children, or those that just want a casual float downstream.

TIDIOUTE to Tionesta:
This is a 15 mile day trip on the Allegheny River.  This trip usually takes most of the day.  The paddle-time from this ramp is a minimum of 5 hours, plus more time for fishing and stops.  There are many beautiful islands and wildlife for viewing along the way.

BONNIE BRAE to Tionesta:
This is an 18 mile trip on the Allegheny River.  This is a short overnight canoe or kayak trip.  It can easily be broken up over two days to meet every schedule.  You can spend two full days on the river without all the paddling.  Hemlock Island is a good place to camp on this trip as it is just about halfway downstream, right above West Hickory boat ramp.  A great trip for larger groups that want to play more than paddle.

BUCCALOONS to Tionesta:
This is a full two day overnight trip.  You will cover 30 miles over two days, approximately 5-6 hours paddle-time per day.  You will want to get a fairly early start to get on the water early enough to cover 15 miles the first day.  Courson Island is just above the Tidioute boat ramp and is a popular camping island for this trip.  There a many beautiful Islands along the way and most are available for camping.

STARBRICK to Tionesta:
This is a 34 mile trip from the south of Warren.  This trip can be done in two days, but most that like this ramp prefer it as a more casual three day trip.  That gives them extra time for fishing and an extra night of camping on a different island.

KINZUA to Tionesta:
This is a 50 mile, 3-day trip from the Kinzua Dam.  Spend three full days paddling the Allegheny River through the National Forest.  Eagles, Osprey, whitetail deer, beaver, and much more wildlife are seen daily. The first day of this trip is long as you will have a stretch of Warren where there will be no where to camp until Crulls Island, just south of the Buccaloons ramp.

This beautiful stream travels through the heart of the Allegheny National Forest.  It is floatable in the Spring, usually from the end of March through most of May.  The level on this stream varies with the spring rains and thaw.  It covers 33 miles from Sheffield to the Nebraska Bridge.  We check the water levels and decide where to launch your boat based on the time you want to spend.  Fishermen like to spend two or three days fishing this stream in the Spring.  Trout is stocked each year.  We must transport you up into the forest for this trip, then return to pick you up at the end of your float.  Camping is along the shoreline.
